Founded in 2010, SSDC Kickball is the founding chapter of Stonewall Sports, Inc., a nationwide LGBTQIA+ nonprofit social sports organization. We strive to cultivate a diverse community of connection through organized competition, community building events, and charitable work. Our chapter values and celebrates each player as an unique individual.
SSDC Kickball has over 1,700 active members in the DMV. We pride ourselves on our diversity and our continued efforts to build more inclusive spaces within the LGBTQIA+ community.
Fall 2026 Registration Information
Stonewall Kickball DC is back for Fall 2026! Whether you’re a returning player, new to the league, interested in captaining, or looking to join as a Friends Of player, review the registration windows below and mark your calendar.
All registration windows open at 12:00 AM and close at 11:59 PM on the dates listed.

Returning Players
Returning Player Registration is open July 14–15. If you plan to return to your current team, please register during this window.
New Players
General Registration is open July 18–26. We recommend attending an open house before registering so you can meet teams and learn more about the league.
DEI Registration
DEI Registration is open July 16–17. Join us at our DEI Open House on July 16 at Kiki from 6:00–9:00 PM.
Friends Of Players
Friends Of Registration is open July 23–26 for players who are connected to the league but not registering directly with a team.

Overview
Spring/Fall Leagues
The spring and fall seasons are considered our regular seasons with six conferences offering various levels of play. The season for the Saturday League runs for seven weeks followed by an end-of-season tournament. The season for the Sunday League runs for eight weeks followed by an end-of-season tournament.

Registration for the spring season typically opens in January, with league play beginning in March. Registration for the fall season typically opens in July, with league play beginning in September. Fall 2026 registration dates are listed above.
Summer League (REMIX)
The summer season is played on Sundays with play being more social. The Kickball Committee randomly assigns players are to teams, ensuring that each team is balanced based on skill level of players and also ensuring that each team has at least one experienced pitcher. The summer league runs for five weeks followed by an end-of-season tournament.

No experience is necessary! Stonewall Kickball includes players of all skill levels, from first-time players to longtime competitors.
Before registering, we strongly encourage new players to attend one of our open house events. These events are the best way to meet teams, connect with captains and players, ask questions, and find a team that feels like a good fit.
Because teams approve players before they are added to a roster, meeting teams ahead of time can make the registration process much smoother.

Do I need kickball experience to join?
No! Players of all experience levels are welcome.
Should I attend an open house before registering?
Yes, especially if you’re new. Open houses are the best way to meet teams and find a good fit before registering.
Can I register without a team?
Yes, but new players are strongly encouraged to meet teams first. Teams approve players before they are added to a roster.
