Born in 2010 with nothing but a dream and a dusty field, Stonewall Sports DC sprang to life in the heart of the “gayborhood,” where the first kickball game took over the scrappy grounds of Stead Park. It wasn’t glamorous—but it was bold. And it had one mission: to create a fiercely inclusive space where the LGBTQIA+ community could come together, play hard, and feel at home.

What started with a single league has exploded into a vibrant force in the city, now boasting leagues in Bocce and Climbing — having served over 12,000 members and counting. But Stonewall is more than just a social sports chapter. It’s a movement. A family. A thriving community powered by passion, pride, and purpose, uniting people through the love of sport and the drive to give back.
